After a victory in 1998 against breast cancer, she was diagnosed again in 2022 which lead to a full mastectomy, chemo and radiation. Unfortunately in March her diagnosis went to terminal as aggressive the triple negative cancer had spread to her brain leading to extremely quick deterioration and loss of quality of life.
We need to push harder in NZ for easier screening in women under 40, more prevention measures and easier / faster testing for those at risk of inheriting the BRCA Mutation genes.
