We're hosting a Pink Ribbon lunch to raise funds for breast cancer research in Aotearoa!
Most of you know our family story. Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in her early 50s, and again at age 70. Erica developed breast cancer in her late 30s, and recently we've discovered that all 3 of us carry the BRCA2 genetic mutation. That puts Kate at a heightened risk of breast cancer, along with our daughters.
This is our 3rd year of hosting a Pink Ribbon fundraiser. The Breast Cancer Foundation do incredible work providing life-saving education, life-changing patient support and ground-breaking medical research. And bring us closer to a day when there are zero deaths from breast cancer.
But like all charities they rely on donations to keep afloat.
