AUCKLAND'S ANNUAL PINK RIBBON RIDE
Celebrating Two Decades of Riding for the Cause
Your energy & generosity made the 22nd Pink Ribbon Ride an unforgattable day!
Together, we've achieved something truly remarkable. We celebrated Two Decades of Riding for the Cause and successfully raised a magnificent $9,359!
Hundreds of riders joined us, creating a powerful sea of pink through Auckland’s streets and raising crucial funds for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.
Your donations are vital. They help fund ground-breaking projects by some of our country's top researchers, provide essential education about breast health, and offer free support services for breast cancer patients and their families. Every dollar that you have contributed makes a tangible difference in the lives of those affected.
WHY WE RIDE
We ride to support everyone affected by breast cancer. Every badge purchased helps fund vital breast cancer research, education, and support services for those affected throughout New Zealand.
SAVE THE DATE: The 23rd Annual Pink Ribbon Ride is set for 2026!
We are excited to officially announce the date for the 23rd Auckland Pink Ribbon Ride! On Sunday, 18th October 2026, hundreds of riders will once again take to the streets of Auckland in a spectacular "sea of pink" to support Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.

About us
Hi, I’m Julie Swift, and I’m proud to have been an Event Coordinator since the inaugural ride. We are an enthusiastic team that brings the amazing Pink Ribbon Ride to Tāmaki Makaurau, raising vital funds and awareness. Our biggest ride was in 2010, when we had 540 bikes and raised $18,350. The inaugural ride started in 2004 at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, and ended at Western Springs Stadium, featuring 130 bikes and raising $1,300. As the Ride has evolved over the years, we now start at Auckland Netball Centre, St Johns, and end at Eden Park.
The Ride’s success is due to the support we receive from so many individuals, including the Auckland Council Events team and NZ Police, who provide a team to manage the logistics along the ride’s route, alongside the IAM Route Marshals. We also appreciate the contributions of the volunteers, including the Busting with Life ladies, who assist at the venues with badge and raffle sales, act as pedestrian crossing marshals, and help with the setup and pack-down of both locations. We must acknowledge the fantastic support from the bike clubs and bike shops that sponsor us with a great collection of prizes. Additionally, thanks to the Lions Club New Lynn team for the sausage sizzle, Zion Motorhomes, the Westpac ladies, Chrissie with her coffee van, Nationwide EFTPOS, Jo from First Scene who dresses the Farmers Truck used as our stage, and Edwards Sound for the PA system.
A final mention, but certainly not the last, is the fantastic Breast Cancer Foundation NZ Ambassadors who join us at Eden Park and are the most amazing MCs; we thank them all so much for their support.
We invite motorcyclists, scooter and trike riders to join us to support this much-needed cause. To date, the Auckland ride has raised over $152,000 and has provided a visual spectacle as the ride travels an Auckland Council and Police-approved route with Auckland Transport coordinating a green light wave (no red lights on the route for the participants).
Help raise vital funds for breast cancer education, research and patient support.
