I’m walking for the nine women in New Zealand who hear the words “you have breast cancer” every single day.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting women in New Zealand, with 1 in 10 women diagnosed in their lifetime and around 650 women dying from the disease each year.
So this year I’m doing something a little outside my comfort zone and taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk — my first ever 10km walking event.
For me, this is both a personal challenge and a chance to support a cause that affects far too many New Zealand women and their families.
I’d love your support. Every donation helps fund breast cancer education, patient support and vital medical research, with the ultimate goal of getting to a future where no one dies from breast cancer.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, I’d really appreciate it.
