I'm taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walks for the nine women diagnosed with breast cancer each day in New Zealand. I was one of those statistics last year.

I've done Pink Ribbon fundraising activities for a few years, never once seriously thinking that I would face a battle with cancer, myself. This year, raising money takes on a whole new meaning after both my sister and I have had breast cancer in the last 2 years. Knowing multiple friends who have also gone on (and are currently on) this journey, and having lost a dear friend to breast cancer in the past, this charity is close to my heart. 

I know times are tough right now, but if you are able to sponsor me a few dollars, the money could make a huge difference for other women who are diagnosed with breast cancer in the future. 

If you're not able to donate, no worries, but please, please just make sure that you regularly check your boobs yourself and if you are even remotely unsure or concerned that something might be wrong, see your Doctor or go for a mammogram.
