Friday 25th Sep Why I’m Shaving My Hair off for Leanda❤️Leanda ❤️ and I have been friends for our whole lives. We were born in the same hospital, and somehow, all these years later, our paths have brought us right back to standing beside each other through one of life’s toughest battles.
Leanda has been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. As a friend, and as someone who has spent nearly 50 years in the hairdressing industry, I wanted to do something that would be deeply personal and meaningful.
So, I’m shaving my hair off. 💕✂️
Hair has been such a huge part of my life — my career, my creativity and my identity. Giving it up is my way of saying to Leanda: “You are not doing this alone. I’m right beside you.”
But this isn’t just about shaving my hair.
I want to use this moment to raise awareness of breast cancer, start conversations, show solidarity with women going through treatment and, most importantly, raise funds to support breast cancer research and those affected by this disease.
I’m hoping we can turn one very emotional haircut into something positive, powerful and full of love.
