We are hosting a Pink Ribbon Event for the nine women diagnosed with breast cancer each day in New Zealand.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year.
That’s why we are hosting a Pink Ribbon Event this year, to help change that.

Monique's journey
In 2022 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This diagnosis came as a huge shock as I had no family history, no risks factors and was only in my 40’s. Following intensive treatment, I am now in remission and my prognosis is excellent. After I was diagnosed, the Breast Cancer Foundation offered me amazing reassurance and support. The free cancer psychology sessions they provided really helped me get through this very difficult time. Their guidance still sits with me today and I often draw on this in challenging times. I will always be very thankful to the Breast Cancer Foundation for supporting me get through a very traumatic time in my life and helping me come out stronger.
