I'm taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk for my Aunty, Mum, Sister and now myself who have all been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Us three sisters stand together united with our families and friends supporting each other and all the people in New Zealand
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year.
Breast Cancer has been in my family my whole life and now this is me, diagnosed with early stages of Breast Cancer at 40years old, caught early because of the Breast Care Screening Program and family support encouraging me to go get checked.
That’s why I’m taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk this year, to help create awareness and bring support and funding.
I will be participating 3 weeks post a Bilateral Mastectomy Reconstruction as this cause is so very important to me and my family.
Please donate to raise funds for life-saving education, life-changing patient support and ground-breaking medical research. And bring us closer to a day when there are zero deaths from breast cancer.
Lots of love and thought go with you. đź’•
