I'm taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walks for my darling Elena who gained her wings earlier this year after a long battle. This is for my daughters, sisters, nieces, Aunts and women to prevent them from going through the journey we are on.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 10 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year. My darling Elena claimed her angel wings in January this year.
That’s why I’m taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk this year, to help change that.
