Les Mills Britomart

By Rhys Finlayson

I’m helping raise vital funds for breast cancer education, research and patient support.

LM SHAPES for a SERIOUSLY Good Cause 💪💗

Breast cancer affects one in nine Kiwi women, and October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the PERFECT time for us Britomart humans to show up and make a difference.

Here's what we're doing:

We're running a special LES MILLS SHAPES class on Tuesday, 28 October at 5:35 pm to raise funds for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.

Why this matters:

Every year, 3,500 Kiwis are diagnosed with breast cancer, and more than 650 will die. Your fundraising helps fund ground-breaking research, education about breast health, and free support services for breast cancer patients and their families.

The Britomart connection:

Research shows that exercise helps prevent breast cancer AND supports people going through treatment – reducing side effects, boosting mental health, and helping people feel STRONG. That's literally what we do every day in our Group Fitness classes.

We're bringing our signature Les Mills Britomart energy to this Shapes class and raising some serious funds for zero deaths from breast cancer.

How to get involved:

Come to Shapes on Tuesday 28 October at 5:35pm – wear pink if you've got it, bring your best energy, and let's show what #TeamBrito is all about.

My Updates

UPDATE: More Pink, More Power! 💪💗🚴

Wednesday 29th Oct

WOW #TeamBrito! After seeing so many wonderful humans all decked out in pink for Shapes on Tuesday, we're adding MORE classes to keep the fundraising momentum going!

JOIN US THIS SUNDAY:

  • RPM 8:10 am and/or SPRINT 9:10 am – Sunday 2nd November
  • Bring that same pink energy, and let's keep raising funds for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ

Here's a powerful stat: Nine women EVERY DAY are diagnosed with breast cancer in New Zealand. That's nine lives changed, nine families affected, every single day.

But here's the good news – survival rates have improved by over 30% in the last 30 years, thanks to research, education, and early detection. The work Breast Cancer Foundation NZ does is literally saving lives.

The cycle connection:

Whether it's SHAPES, RPM, or SPRINT – every workout, every pedal stroke, every rep – we're not just getting stronger ourselves, we're helping fund the research and support that gives Kiwi women fighting breast cancer the strength they need.

Let's show what #TeamBrito is all about this Sunday. Wear pink, bring your energy, and let's ride for a cause that matters.
Xx
