I'm hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast for women diagnosed with breast cancer each day!
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year.
I am doing this in honour of my Aunt and a local friend, who have recently been diagnosed here in New Zealand and are currently walking this difficult, frightening journey both with positive spirits, hearts of hope and utmost courage.
I would also like to honour my Aunt back in South Africa who was diagnosed, who fought bravely always adding a touch of humour to her messages sent even through the pain and made it to the other side of it a survivor.
That’s why I’m hosting a Pink Ribbon Sip & Support - High Tea for Hope this year, to help change that. To come together as women, raise awareness, raise funds and raise HOPE. This is for all of you wonderful BRAVE women fighting this battle - may you find strength, be determined and POSITIVE and BE a survivor.
Please donate to raise funds for life-saving education, life-changing patient support and ground-breaking medical research. And bring us closer to a day when there are zero deaths from breast cancer.
