Kia ora, my name is Tish and I'm co-hosting this Pink Ribbon Breakfast with Diana and team.
I (Tish) was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer aged 34 in 2009.
I have no family history and it was discovered by self-examination followed by a quick response from my GP. It happened right when I was about to embark on a new and exciting step on my career ladder.
Key survival aspects for me were early detection, a responsive GP, amazing modern medicine, ongoing medical research, a fabulous medical team, access to public health care, and supportive family and friends.
