Endurance for a purpose: Racing to make a difference
This year, I’ve taken on the challenge of a lifetime: completing a full Ironman triathlon to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Society. That’s a grueling 3.9km swim, a 180km bike ride, and a 42.2km run—all in one go. It’s an ambitious undertaking, but it’s driven by a cause that’s deeply meaningful to me.
I’m dedicating this journey to honoring the incredible resilience of those fighting breast cancer and supporting the vital programs and groundbreaking research needed to overcome this disease.
Every kilometer I swim, cycle, and run is inspired by their courage, strength, and determination.
By fundraising for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, I’m helping fund –
- Ground-breaking projects by some of our countries top researchers
- Education about breast health, the importance of regular screening and the signs and symptoms of breast cancer
- Free support services for breast cancer patients and their families
