I'm hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast in honour and loving memory of my dear friend, Geneva.
I'm organising a Pink Ribbon event in loving memory of my dear friend, Geneva Gill, who departed from us on March 3, 2024, after bravely battling cancer. Geneva was a true beacon of light, taken from us too soon. Throughout her journey, she exuded grace, strength, and resilience, defying the odds time and again without ever losing her radiant spirit. She was the embodiment of magic in human form, touching the lives of all who knew her.
While Geneva's husband, family, and friends continue to grapple with the loss of her radiant presence, there is solace in knowing that she is finally at peace. She no longer bears the burden of the fight; she is free now, her spirit unbound.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year.
