Whitireia P.A.C.I.F.I.C.A Womens Branch are hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast to help raise funds to support the work that Pink Ribbon does to support our loved ones affected by breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year. We know too that many of our Pasifika mamas and daughters have been affected.

That’s why P.A.C.I.F.I.C.A Whitireia Branch are hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast this year, we want to raise awareness and help our women learn more and to save lives.

Please donate to raise funds for life-saving education, life-changing patient support and ground-breaking medical research. And bring us closer to a day when there are zero deaths from breast cancer.

PACIFICA WOMENS INC-Whitireia Branch Pink Ribbon Breakfast

Today, Thursday 23rd May 2024 the PACIFICA INC Whitireia Womens Branch hosted their first Pink Ribbon Breakfast.
Close to 30 women of all ages braved the cold to attend. Our ladies were introduced to the branch learning more about who we are and then were informed of the work of the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ organisation. We were fortunate to have a guest speaker Seiulu Verona Parker, who has had well over 25+ years of extensive experience in sales, marketing, media, public relations, and communications. In 2028-2021 Seiuli took on a leadership role in Samoa becoming the Fundraising Marketing Manager for Samoa Cancer Society. It was the purposeful work that she did with our people in Samoa that has encouraged and help her in the fight to ensure that our communities are educated and have more awareness of Breast cancer and what to do to ensure preventative measure are shared. We were fortunate to host our event in the beautiful and stunning venue of Pataka Museum, with breakfast prepared by local cafe business- Kaizen.

A morning to remember! Thank you to all our ladies who attended and look forward to 2025!
