Our flat is helping raise vital funds for breast cancer education, research and patient support.
Everyone knows someone who's had breast cancer, or been affected by it. This year, on the 25th of May we are hosting a Pink themed Ball on the weekend following Pink Ribbon Day.
- Breast cancer is the #1 cancer for Kiwi women, and #3 overall
- Today, on average, 9 Kiwi women will be told they have breast cancer
- Every year, 3.500 kiwis get the diagnosis of breast cancer, and not everyone is lucky enough to survive it.
- Around 25 kiwi men also get diagnosed each year, so no breasts are safe
These statistics are terrifying, and everyone has a story to share about how breast cancer has affected themselves or someone special in their life. In our flat of six lovely women alone, we all have stories to share and we want to do whatever we can to support wahine across New Zealand.
We're hosting a Pink themed formal to raise vital funds for breast cancer research and support. We would love for as many of you to attend - Bring your friends and whanau and get behind this amazing cause.
