I'm hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast for the nine women diagnosed with breast cancer each day in New Zealand.
Kia ora, my name is Megan. I am a third year Nursing student and part-time server at Moon Under Water in Christchurch. Like many of you, I have seen the devastating impact a diagnosis of breast cancer has on the individual, their whānau, and friends. On Sunday the 19th of May I will be hosting a Pink Ribbon Lunch for some of the wonderful wāhine in my life as a way to campaign for those effected by breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime, and 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year. I’m hosting a Pink Ribbon Lunch this year to help change that. Please consider donating to raise funds for life-saving education, patient support and ground-breaking medical research. Any contribution helps to make a difference for those who need it most. Help to bring us closer to a day when there are zero deaths from breast cancer.
