I’m taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk because breast cancer has become very personal to my family this year. Nine women are diagnosed with breast cancer every day in New Zealand, and one of those women is my younger sister, Esther.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 10 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year.
That’s why I’m taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk this year, to help change that.
Please donate to raise funds for life-saving education, life-changing patient support and ground-breaking medical research. And bring us closer to a day when there are zero deaths from breast cancer.
My 41-year-old sister, who is a mum of four, was diagnosed this year and it really rocked us as a family. We are only at the beginning of this journey, with chemo still to come, and there is a long road ahead.
Esther is one of the strongest people I know and is always doing things for other people. It was her idea to do this wals. Anyway, this is one small way we can support her, as well as the organisations that give so much awhi to women and their families during these tough times.
Would love if you could donate. Big or small x

Sending all our love and strength to Est! 🫶♥️
