I’m helping raise vital funds for breast cancer education, research and patient support.
This year it has been 15 years since my mum passed away due to breast cancer. It's not something that comes up often, but I find myself often thinking of her. Even though life has moved on, I miss her and wish I could tell her everything that has happened since.
I've been growing out my hair since I left NZ 3 years ago. Only cutting it a year ago to a mullet. Now it's time to trim it all off, and I felt it was a good opportunity to raise some funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation.
Every year 3,500 Kiwis are diagnosed with breast cancer, but by fundraising for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, we're helping fund:
- Ground-breaking projects by some of our countries top researchers
- Education about breast health, the importance of regular screening and the signs and symptoms of breast cancer
- Free support services for breast cancer patients and their families
