Pink Ribbon Dinner
My journey with Breast Cancer began on June 6th, 2023 when I was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer in my left breast. Following many tests I was also diagnosed with separate colorectal cancer.
Fast forward to now and the colorectal tumour has been blasted with radio and chemo and has melted. Mastectomy and reduction done and radio for the breast due to start.
On Friday, May 24th, from 5pm , I am hosting a Pink Ribbon Day Dinner at my home, and you are invited to attend.
Come join me for a Hearty Evening meal.
It's $25 to attend with $10 from every ticket sold going to the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.
Please RSVP attendance by April 19th. Pay on the day or contact me for internet banking details.
This date marks the anniversary of the start of my cancer journey following a mammogram and will double as a celebration for the end of my treatment, and the return to a more normal life.
My goal is to raise $750 from the Pink Day, a Mega Pink Raffle, and direct donations.
If you can't make it on the day, how about a raffle?
In conjunction with the event, I am running a Mega Pink Raffle. There are three Mystery Mega Hampers up for grabs, each worth $175. Tickets cost $10 and there are 100 tickets. (numbers 18, 80, 57, 8 are sold)
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year.
Please donate to raise funds for life-saving education, life-changing patient support and ground-breaking medical research. And bring us closer to a day when there are zero deaths from breast cancer.
