We’re shaving our heads for Loren — and for every Kiwi affected by breast cancer. 

Loren has just begun her chemotherapy journey and will soon lose her hair. If you know Loren, you know she has the best (and most!) hair of all of us — so we’ve decided to stand with her in the most visible way we can: we’re shaving our heads too. 💗 Date to be confirmed.

 This isn’t just about hair. It’s about hope, solidarity, and making a difference.

 Every year, 3,500 New Zealanders are diagnosed with breast cancer, and sadly, more than 650 will lose their lives. By fundraising for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, we’re helping to:

1. Fund ground-breaking research led by top Kiwi scientists

2. Provide free support services for patients and their families

3. Promote education and awareness around breast health and early detection

It’s a small gesture for a cause that touches so many lives. Help us turn this moment into momentum — and make zero deaths from breast cancer a reality.

And then there was none... Hair that is! Today, we lost it with Loren. There was laughter and tears & hugs, and lots of head rubs. We love and support you my friend. Bummer we couldn't be together, but always in spirit. 
We are all so grateful for every cent that has been donated so far. It all goes directly to the Breast Cancer Foundation so will already be helping people.  Please share what you can, get us to $5,000 and you'll see my hair pink!

Breast cancer has torn through my friends and family, and continues to do so. I can't remember a time when I didn't have a loved one fighting this damn fight. My Mum and her two sisters fought their battles within a few years of each other. For me, it's a constant cloud over my coiffed head. I think of it every soapy shower, at my annual Mamm-Jam in October, with every glance at Mum's proud flat chest. 

Please donate to the cause via this vain girl who loves her hair. For our Loren, for my Mum, for my ones still fighting, and yours. I wanna kick its' ass. Lx

💗 My Journey – Raising for Breast Cancer NZ 💗

Unfortunately, like a lot of women, my breasts have let me down. So here I am, on a journey of chemo, with possible surgery and radiation still to come. The goal - to live a little longer, soak up more time with my whānau and friends, and to be around for as many laughs, hugs, and cheeky moments as I can.

This road is tough, and it’s not one I chose, but I’m walking it with all the grit, aroha, and sass I’ve got. Along the way, I want to help others who may be facing the same fight. That’s why I’m raising funds for Breast Cancer NZ, so more wāhine and whānau get the support, research, and care they deserve.

So please, if you can, donate. Do it for the cause, do it for the women you love, or even just to see me keep my sense of humour while wrangling chemo naps and snack experiments. Every single donation, big or small, makes a real difference, not just for me, but for countless others walking this path.

💗 Shave for Love – Supporting Loren & Breast Cancer NZ 💗

Most of you know my wife Loren is in the fight of her life right now with breast cancer. To stand beside her in more than just words, me and a bunch of close mates are shaving our heads when she does.

Why? Because hair grows back — but time, aroha, and support are the things that really matter. Every dollar raised will go directly to Breast Cancer NZ, helping other whānau walking this road right now and those yet to.

If you know me, you know how much I love Loren — and if you don’t know me, well… you can still donate just to see my shiny head (which is bound to give everyone a laugh).

I’m about to do something bold — and bald — for Loren.

I really love my hair. Like, a lot. But I love Loren more. 💕
