PLEASE join or donate to Kelliegh’s Pink Ladies and help raise awareness for women everywhere!!
Hey everyone,
Paige Burkett and I are taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk on October the 11th to raise awareness for Breast Cancer month. We’d love for you to join us as part of Kelleigh’s Ladies. We’re walking the 10km, but the 5km is a great option too. the more the merrier, we would love an army behind us this year. You can sign up through the second link in my bio.
If you can’t make the walk, we’d really appreciate a donation instead, through the other link in my bio.
We are walking to raise awareness and share Kelleigh’s story.
Kelleigh passed away at just 48 from stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that had spread throughout her body, leaving behind my beautiful best friend and her two sisters. Though she wasn’t given long to live, she fought for 10 years and got to watch her girls grow up before she ran out of fight. Kelleigh took part in medical trials across Auckland, Christchurch, and even Sydney, searching for anything that might extend her life — not just for herself, but for other women facing the same battle who simply wanted more time with their families.
We’re continuing Kelleigh’s legacy by trying to help as many people as we can, bringing everyone together to celebrate those we’ve lost and those still fighting. This disease touches so many lives, not just here in New Zealand but around the world — so the more awareness we raise, the more we can help.
If you’d like to learn more about Kelleigh’s story, you can find her on Facebook at ‘KelleighandCraigBurkett’ or search her name to find her interviews with Stuff, Seven Sharp, One News, and Otago News.
Please join us for this walk and help raise awareness for women across New Zealand.
