I’m helping raise vital funds for breast cancer education, research and patient support.
Every year 3,700 New Zealanders are diagnosed with breast cancer, and more than 650 will die.
After a close family member's cancer came back, I wanted to do something to support them as they go through chemo. Losing one's hair is one of the many difficult symptoms as part of the trials chemo patients go through. So I am choosing to shave my head in solidarity.
By fundraising for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, I’m helping fund –
- Ground-breaking projects by some of our countries top researchers
- Education about breast health, the importance of regular screening and the signs and symptoms of breast cancer
- Free support services for breast cancer patients and their families
