Veronica’s Legacy: Tri-ing for Awareness

In April 2026, our family’s world changed completely. We lost my beautiful mum, Veronica, less than a month after her breast cancer diagnosis. The speed of her loss left a massive hole in the lives of everyone who knew her, and navigating that sudden grief has been incredibly tough.
As a triathlete, I am using my racing to do something practical about it. I am raising funds and awareness for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ to help ensure other families aren't blindsided by this kind of rapid loss. Early detection is everything.
Look out for me on the course in my custom pink-ribbon tri suit, and please take my race slogan to heart: Check your melons.
