October Scrunchie Fundraising

The Breast Cancer Foundation has three core goals:
Awareness/Education: The BCF delivers breast cancer and breast health awareness campaigns in all corners of the community: workplaces, community centres, events, and so many more. These programmes are run with goals of improving knowledge in the public about breast cancer.
Research/Medical: The BCF funds New Zealand based research projects to improve outcomes for patients. A major project has been creating the Te Rēhita Mate Ōtaetae, the Breast Cancer Foundation National Register, a register that collects information about all breast cancer patients in New Zealand. This information is used for research and to plan breast cancer services. This registry revolutionises breast cancer research in Aotearoa.
Support: The BCF provides funding for counselling sessions for people with breast cancer. A breast cancer diagnosis is difficult to handle by yourself. Counsellors can help ease the mental load of the diagnosis and improve patients' wellbeing.
The BCF relies on donations from individuals like you, or companies, to fund these three goals and so much more. The BCF is making a significant impact on breast cancer in New Zealand, and their long term hope is to achieve 0 deaths from breast cancer.
To support all the amazing things the BCF is doing for kiwis with breast cancer, I am donating 100% of revenue I make from selling my pink satin scrunchies to the Breast Cancer Foundation this October! 🩷
