Ribbons, Remembrance, and Rural Strength: Standing Together Against Breast Cancer

🌸 Join Me for a Pink Ribbon Brunch 🌸

This year, I’m hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast—well, more of a heartfelt country brunch—in our little rural village, because the numbers are just too big to ignore. Every day in Aotearoa, nine women are diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s the most common cancer for Kiwi women, and tragically, we still lose around 650 lives each year.

That’s why I’m standing up and doing something about it—with the love and support of my beautiful community and the Wharepapa South Rural Women, who I’m proud to be a part of.

Cancer has touched my life in ways I wish it hadn’t. I’ve lost my grandmother, my stepmother, and my precious 5-year-old goddaughter to this cruel disease. It breaks hearts, shakes families, and leaves gaps that can never be filled. But through love, connection, and coming together—we can make a difference.

So we’re gathering at our hall, sharing kai, stories, and strength. Every dollar raised goes towards life-saving education, life-changing support, and ground-breaking research—all to help bring us closer to a world where no one dies from breast cancer.

If you can’t join us in person, please consider donating. Every little bit brings hope.

💖 With love, Aleisha x
