I'm hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast for the ten women diagnosed with breast cancer each day in New Zealand.
My gran is my hero — strong, faithful and loving. She has faced breast cancer with determination and unshakable faith, always believing that God is with her. Watching the treatments leave her tired and weak breaks my heart. It isn’t fair for anyone to have to live this way. That’s why I’m raising money to help find a cure for this awful disease, so families like mine don’t have to watch someone they love suffer.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 10 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year, this is fair too many!
