I'm hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast for the ten women diagnosed with breast cancer each day in New Zealand.
We often hear the stats: 1 in 10 Kiwi women will face breast cancer. In 2022, I became one of those women.
Going through that diagnosis and treatment is a mountain I wouldn't wish on anyone. For me, the Breast Cancer Foundation was a lifeline - their free counseling gave me a place to process everything when I felt most lost. Honestly, I don’t know how I would have made it through without that support.
Now that I’m on the other side, I want to make sure the next woman walking that path isn't doing it alone. That’s why I’m hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast. Every dollar we raise goes toward the counseling, research, and education that saved my spirit and continues to save lives. Let’s work toward a future where less families in Aotearoa have to say goodbye too soon.
