I'm hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast for the ten women diagnosed with breast cancer each day in New Zealand.
I was diagnosed in July 2025 with Triple Negative Breast Cancer at 43. No family history or hormone related. This was just a random cell mutation. Completely blindsided me and my family. I found the lump myself and after 2 horrible months of testing the grueling treatment begun. I have now completed 14 rounds of chemo, had a lumpectomy and post op radiation for one month. I am soon to start on chemo oral pills as preventive treatment. This whole journey has been tough but I have been so lucky to have amazing support from Breast Cancer Foundation family. I am dedicated to help others and spread the awareness.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 10 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year.
That’s why I’m fundraising and help promote Breast Cancer Awareness to help change that.
