I'm hosting a Pink Ribbon Afternoon Tea in loving memory of Kathleen Woodside

In March 2015, Kathleen was diagnosed with breast cancer. Sadly, in August 2016, at just 50 years old, she passed away, leaving behind her loving husband, Mervyn, and two children, Sam (22) and Emily (15).

Although I never had the privilege of meeting Kathleen, her kindness, strength, and love continue to shine through in my dear friend, Emily.

Emily and I are hosting this Pink Ribbon Afternoon Tea in honour of Kathleen—to raise funds for life-saving education, life-changing patient support, and groundbreaking medical research. Our hope is to bring us closer to a future where no one loses their mum to breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Kiwi women— 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime. Each year, 650 women in Aotearoa lose their lives to this disease.

Together, we can change these statistics. Please join us in making a difference.
