There are some causes that don’t need much explaining.
Breast cancer is one of them.
Most of us know someone who has faced it. Many of us have walked alongside friends or whānau through it. And for some, we’ve had to say goodbye far too soon. It’s a tough and unfair thing to have in common, yet it connects so many of us.
For a long time, I’ve wanted to do something meaningful in this space. Hosting a Pink Ribbon breakfast has always been on my mind, but like many of us, life and mahi have kept pushing it down the list.
This year feels different. This year, I’m making it happen.
I’m proud to be hosting the Pacific Cup Pink Parakuihi - a chance for our people to come together, share kai, connect, have a few laughs, and most importantly, raise much-needed pūtea for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.
This isn’t just an event. It’s about community. It’s about showing up. It’s about doing something small that contributes to something much bigger.
Here’s what I can share for now:
- Sunday 24th May
- Buffet breakfast
- Special guests
- And you
I’m locking in the final details this week and will share more soon.
In the meantime, I’d love your support. Whether you can attend, donate, or simply spread the word, it all makes a difference. Every dollar raised will go directly to the NZBCF and the important work they do.
Let’s come together for a feed, for a cause, and for each other.
See you there.
Love,
Patariki x
