Lang's Little Bakery's Pink Ribbon Breakfast

Share my page

I'm hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast for the ten women diagnosed with breast cancer each day in New Zealand.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 10 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year.

That’s why I’m hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast this year, to help change that.

Please donate to raise funds for life-saving education, life-changing patient support and ground-breaking medical research. And bring us closer to a day when there are zero deaths from breast cancer.

Fundraising in honour of...

We started off our Pink Ribbon Breakfast journey in 2021, just after I completed my breast cancer treatment. When you set up your fundraising page, you specify in honour of who you are fundraising for. So at the time, we were fundraising in honour of myself.

This year, sadly, we’ve felt the need to shift that focus a little. This past year, we have lost 2 family members to breast cancer - my mother-in-law and Hannah’s grandmother-in-law. And a lovely friend of mine had a breast cancer recurrence after being cancer-free for 20 years (luckily she’s OK now).

So when the emails started flooding in from the Breast Cancer Foundation, encouraging us to sort this year’s Pink Ribbon Breakfast, and admittedly we went “daaaamn, must we??”, there was just no way that we would not.

Therefore, this year we are hosting our Pink Ribbon Breakfast in honour of Christa, Babs and Anja.

I’ll never get tired of saying this:

GO GET YOUR MAMMOGRAMS DONE!!

15 May 2026

We have a date and place!!

We're absolutely stoked to be able to use the Cambridge Community Pavillion on Victoria Square (upstairs of the cricket club house) for our Pink Ribbon Breakfast this year! This means we have more room, so it will be less crowded and we'll even be able to sell a few more tickets!

DATE: Monday, 1st of June
TIME: 11 am - 1 pm

We've got an amazing buffet planned for you, and there are oodles of raffle baskets, auctions, handmade items and of course baking going on the sales table. More details to come.

We also welcome every offer to help, big or small. Just get in touch on info@langslittlebakery.co.nz

Who is excited, too??
