I'm hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast for the nine women diagnosed with breast cancer each day in New Zealand.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi women. 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. And 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year.

That’s why I’m hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast this year, to help change that.

Please donate to raise funds for life-saving education, life-changing patient support and ground-breaking medical research. And bring us closer to a day when there are zero deaths from breast cancer.

Thank you to all the wonderful people who made our pink ribbon morning tea such a successful event. To Amber for sharing her personal journey as a young woman facing breast cancer, and the message of authentic care from those who built a net around her. To The Songbirds, so generous with their time, who spread love and healing round the room with their beautiful harmonies and selection of music. To Lucia, for giving her time so generously too and taking fabulous photos to share. To the Rotarians and Friends who turned up and took on what was needed so willingly and without a word. To Marilyn and friends for such pretty decorations on the tables. To the kind individuals who donated raffle prizes and to Take Note, Clareville Bakery, and Orly Nail Spa, Carterton for donating vouchers. And to all the lovely guests who joined us and raised $1110 today. This added to the money donated online means we beat our target. Thank you all so much. I know the morning meant a lot to everyone, Amber’s journey, the songs chosen by the Songbirds, the good company.
