REMEMBERING THOSE PASSED AND THOSE LIVING WITH CANCER!

Recently, day after Anzac we sadly farewelled my little Sister to Breast cancer.  Representing the Whakaaronui ki te ora Māori Women`s Welfare League we dedicate this campaign in her memory, all those gone before and those living with cancer, some of whom are members of the League.

This is the most common cancer in Kiwi women, 1 in 9 will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime, 650 women in Aotearoa die from the disease every year.  It is a scourge on society taking our nannies, mothers, aunties, daughters, nieces, friends. By supporting these campaigns, it will go some way towards making life a little easier as wāhine and whānau navigate this journey.

Naumai haere mai, we are hosting Pink Ribbon High Tea on 28th May at 10.30am, TPK Building 357 Victoria Ave, Whanganui, cost is $20pp. If unable to attend, can donate by clicking on QR Code or deposit Breast Cancer Foundation 1230300534226 03 Ref 0720173 Soraya. To attend High Tea private message Soraya Peke-Mason for tickets, numbers are limited.

Funds raised will be for life-saving education, life-changing patient support and ground-breaking medical research, that will bring us closer to a day when there are zero deaths from breast cancer.
