We are hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast for the ten women diagnosed with breast cancer each day in New Zealand.

This cause is incredibly personal to us. In 2011, at 30 years old, our Marketing Manager and Director Carrie was diagnosed with Stage 1 Grade 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer. Following her diagnosis, she underwent surgery and six weeks of radiation treatment. Since then, she has had three additional surgeries, most recently reconstructive surgery in 2024.

Like many families affected by cancer, the journey has been long, challenging, and life-changing.  Unfortunately, her story is not unique. Breast cancer affects so many women and families throughout New Zealand, with 1 in 10 women diagnosed in their lifetime and around 10 women diagnosed every single day in New Zealand alone.

Hosting this fundraiser is our way of giving back, raising awareness, and helping support the amazing work the Breast Cancer Foundation does for people and families going through their own breast cancer journey.
