Date: 19 April from 10.30am to 11.30am

Venue: The Dowse Art Museum Event Space, 45 Laings Road, Lower Hutt.

Breast cancer remains the most common cancer affecting women in New Zealand. Statistics show that 1 in 10 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and sadly around 650 women in Aotearoa lose their lives to this disease every year.

Through this initiative Sakhi Women’s Wing aims to stand in solidarity with those affected and contribute toward meaningful change. This event is not just a gathering—it is a step toward raising awareness supporting those in need and funding critical research.

We warmly invite you to join us in this important cause. Your generous donations will help fund life-saving education provide essential support services for patients and their families and advance groundbreaking medical research.

Together we can make a difference and move closer to a future where there are zero deaths from breast cancer.

Let’s come together show our support and make hope stronger than fear.

I worked on breastscreening in 2024 and can prepare a couple of little slides with some latest data for you to give as handouts if you like after the event. I will bring it on Sunday for your wahine organisers to look at ka te pai?
