Why I’m Fundraising for the Pink Ribbon Brunch
By Marie Price
I’ve been involved in women’s health for over 14 years now, and in that time, I’ve walked alongside many incredible women—friends, family members, and clients—through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Breast cancer has touched the lives of so many in our community. I’ve seen women face biopsies, mastectomies, chemotherapy, and radiation with courage and strength. Some have come through the other side stronger than ever. Others, heartbreakingly, did not win their battle. My heart goes out to those women and their families, always.
This year, I’m hosting a Pink Ribbon Brunch as a way to honour these brave women and help raise funds for breast cancer education, patient support, research, and advocacy. It’s my way of giving back—of standing with all women and their families who are navigating the trauma of a breast cancer diagnosis.
Closer to home, three of my own clients have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m proud to say they are all doing really well. Two have completed radiation and are recovering beautifully, while the third is currently awaiting her treatment dates. What’s made a huge difference for them? Early detection. All three had their breast cancer picked up early through routine mammograms—and their outcomes have been positive because of it.
I invite you to join me at our Pink Ribbon Brunch on Monday 19th May at Tailored Results Women’s Fitness Studio. Whether you attend, pop in to donate or buy a raffle ticket, or support online—it all helps.
Together, we can support the women in our lives and contribute to a future with better outcomes, better support, and better awareness for breast cancer.
